Christmas Giving with the Dare County Department of Social Services Adult Christmas Program

 

Join us in gathering donations for the annual Dare County Department of Social Services Adult Christmas Program. Donations received are provided to older or disabled adults throughout Dare County, including Hatteras Island. Suggested stocking stuffer items include (but are not limited to):  

 

• Toiletries (soaps, shampoo, conditioner, brushes/combs)

• Shaving Items

• Dental care items

• Nail care items

• Lotions (unscented preferred)

• Warm socks (including larger sizes)

• Night lights, especially light or motion activated

• Socks with grippy bottoms

• Adult coloring books

• Large print crossword or word find puzzle books

• Thermal tops and bottoms (varied sizes/men and women)

• Candies or snacks

• Lap blankets

 

Drop boxes will be located at the Hatteras Island Pet Resort in Rodanthe and the Rodanthe Thrift Store. Drop off will also be available at our Pie Sale at the Community Building on Wednesday, November 27 (10 am to Noon). Donations must be collected no later than December 4.
